Transistions: METIOR in its new role as the public boradcaster

The LNP’s criticism of the ABC has reached a climax today as cabinet voted to replace the ABC with Murdoch’s student magazine.

This comes after weeks of intense criticism of the ABC, with calls to defund the organisation.

The Prime Minister himself criticised a perceived recent poor standard of journalism and an unacceptable level of bias. It’s understood the move is a concession inside the party to keep a state media outlet.

The claimed benefits are that METIOR’s budget is far less than the $1 billion for the ABC, and that at least everyone already knows they are all rabid lefties.

Sources close to the PM state that the Murdoch Empire Telegraph and Indian Ocean Review is by far the Prime Minister’s favourite Murdoch media.
